Boom Boom Boom Boom
I came across an interesting article today titled 'Understanding the risky sex habits of Canadian baby boomers'. Now I ask you who are these baby boomers and where are they having all of this risky sex? I live in Canada. I'm a baby boomer. The closest I've come to any kind of risk lately is world domination on a Parker Brothers board game.
A national survey of baby boomers (those age 46-64) found that close to 60% were not afraid of contracting a sexually transmitted disease and 30% of unmarried boomers admitted to having unprotected sex after the age of 40. The rationale for this behaviour being the biological clock has stopped. There is no fear of becoming pregnant therefore problem solved. The thought of STD's had never occurred to this age group.
These same boomers are online dating, having multiple sex partners and worst of all, are getting tattoos and body piercings, anything from a nose ring to a towel rack. Not an attractive look at any age much less over 40.
It's a collective midlife crisis for all. It's Woodstock over 40 years later without all of the really good music.
