The last day of summer is officially September 21st yet for most people Labour Day represents `the beginning of the end`. The beginning of the end for me was when I turned 40 but that`s a whole other blog.
There are other telltale signs that summer is about to end and fall is in the air like football; back to school; and no more reruns. Two shows in particular waiting to resume are Nurse Jackie and Dancing with the Stars. Nurse Jackie`s character has "an occasional weakness for Vicodin and Adderall to get her through the days. Oddly enough Nurse Jackie is not a reality show. Go figure.
A few of the celebs taking part in the reality show Dancing With The Stars this fall are retired superbowl quarterback Kurt Warner; Brady Bunch mom Florence Henderson; Jennifer Grey, (remember Dirty Dancing? no one puts baby in the corner) and Baywatch star David Hasselhoff, who has been known to spend time on the floor but not necessarily the dance floor.
But the most telling sign that summer is ending is the fact that football begins. And of course Sunday is a day of Sabbath for NFL fans everywhere. May the Lord be with you and the New England Patriots too.
