President Hasni Mubarak made a statement to the media today stating if he resigns now there will be chaos in Egypt, which is ironic when you think about it. Right now there are merely protests, looting; pillaging, mass exodus of foreigners and the odd killing of say some four people and the wounding of 13 others just today, events which one could potentially misconstrue as chaos but not President Mubarak. He’s anticipating the real thing. Friday prayers, the height of hypocrisy, will tell the tale.
There's a 76 year old American woman held up in her apartment smack dab in the centre of the protesting by both supporters of Mubarak and those who oppose him. She feels she is able to fend off any adversary who attempts to get in her way. She is prepared to defend herself with a knife, a bowling pin and some pre-rehearsed hand gestures to go along with these makeshift weapons. Yuh, that ought to do it.
In other news, the White Stripes have decided to call it quits. I know what you’re thinking. Who cares? Well, there are a few out there who have taken this news fairly hard. One is my son and the other may be Meg herself. First Jack dumps her as his spouse and lifelong partner and now as his band mate. It must suck to be Meg right about now.
