Computer hackers thought to be supporters of Wilileaks founder Julien Assange, are wreaking havoc with MasterCard computer sites. Evidently, MasterCard, along with other sites that would normally allow users to make donations to Wikileaks, have severed ties.
Whatever happened to loose lips sink ships, meaning beware of unguarded talk. During WWII, this phrase was created by the United States Office of War Information to prevent servicemen (and women) and citizens from participating in any careless talk that might be useful to the enemy. Wikileaks is making a mockery of this, although, much of what Wikileaks is divulging wouldn’t make headlines on Entertainment Tonight. Sticks and stones may break our bones but names like inferior; inept and incredibly stupid will never hurt us. Have you seen Jersey Shore?
Seriously, I criticize people and programs daily, as does anyone with a pulse. What makes Wikileaks think they’re so damn special? It’s like he said, it said. I just hope Wikileaks doesn’t break into my Facebook; E-mail or MasterCard accounts, because I would hate for the only things to be remembered about my enemies to be the nasty things I have ever said about them. Then again, go ahead. Make my day.
